Caavo’s June Senior Living Updates

Happy June! The summer months have finally arrived, and with it, more sunshine and an improved Caavo experience for senior living communities. 


This month the Caavo updates focus more on staff enhancements that will streamline operation and improve usability, all thanks to the wonderful feedback from our customers around the country. TELS Integration


TELS is a web-based software designed to help Senior Living operators and maintenance teams better manage their workflows. We’re super excited to announce that we’ve recently integrated the Caavo Assist Request feature with TELS! 


Our integration with TELS allows residents to create Assist Requests on their TVs, or staff can initiate them on their Care Admin portal, and the requests will automatically be sent to TELS as work order! This ensures efficient coordination between staff members, and allows TELS to do the bulk of the organizing. To enable this integration for your community, simply reach out to your Caavo Account Manager and they’ll make it happen!



Assist Tile Management


The ability to request non-urgent assistance is one of the favorite Caavo features for residents, so we’re now allowing communities to customize their “Assist Request” tile on resident’s homepage. 


This small change can be found in the "Manage Community" section of Care Admin, which makes it easier for community team members to create and manage Assist Tiles. If your residents would like the Assist Request button to be more accessible on their Caavo homepage, community staff can now customize the order in which Assist Tiles appear on the residents TV screens! Currently, the Assist Request tile is on the bottom right of the screen, but you can now make it the very first button at the top if you choose!


With this customization, staff can also adjust the order of Quick Responses nested under Assist Tiles, allowing more accurate and personable communication to residents awaiting assistance.



Announcements and Reminder Notifications Chime


Sometimes we need a little extra push to observe digital announcements and reminders. Usually if the announcement is accompanied by an audible sound, it prompts us to interact with it instead of ignoring it. 


If you’d like to add an audible sound to your community announcements and reminders that are sent out to residents, you now can! Community admins will be able to enable this optional “chime” that will be sent alongside a Reminder Notification or an Announcement under Notify Type. 


Please note that this feature does not impact the Wellness Check Notification chime and it will continue to perform as usual. 



Other Key Upgrades


To ensure a seamless Caavo setup for a new resident, we have revamped the virtual keyboard on the Control Center so that its new layout is easier to navigate. Staff will now be able to quickly access letters, numbers, and all characters more efficiently, to make the Caavo setup as smooth as possible. 


In case you encounter any technical issues, we have also modified the button sequence for logging a bug on the Control Center. The new sequence to press on your remote is now
VOL x3 + CH
