Caavo’s Senior Living May Update for Family & Staff

New month, new Caavo updates! Our product and engineering teams are consistently hard at work, making Caavo adjustments that will make life easier for community staff, residents and their families. We love hearing feedback from our senior living customers and are always happy to make improvements that will better the Caavo experience for everyone.


We’re excited to announce that this latest update includes new features and improvements that help staff workflows remain time-efficient and simplify TV assistance for residents.

Care and wellness workers at our senior living communities can look forward to a new and improved way to refresh their weekly dining menus!


Community admins can now upload a CSV file to populate dining information for the community. This means that staff members can easily update the dining menus for their residents without having to manually input each item.


It’s All in the Details


Another notable improvement is the new Control Center Details screen. We have greatly improved the organization and accessibility of information so that staff can easily see which devices are connected to which inputs and check the status of a Caavo Smart Plug. 


Staff also can see more remote details and now have an “unpair remote” button for when they need to switch out a remote that was previously paired to a resident’s Control Center!


Picture Perfect, a Better Remote TV view


One of the biggest Caavo features staff and family love to use is the remote-remote feature, which gives you a real-time view of what the resident is watching on TV and allows you to remotely control their TV from anywhere. 


To make it even easier to see what’s playing on the resident’s TV and use the remote-remote buttons, we’ve expanded the “Control TV” viewport and moved the buttons outside of the screen. Now you can change channel or volume with ease and clearly see what’s happening on the resident’s TV.
