New Caavo Features Coming to Your Senior Living Community in April

At Caavo, we are constantly working to improve our products and services to better serve our senior living communities, residents and their families. In our latest product update, we are excited to introduce new features and improvements that we believe will make using Caavo even more convenient and enjoyable!


Making it Easier for Families & Staff to Assist Residents


We know that community staff are busy making sure that everything runs smoothly inside the community, leaving little time for side tasks. To make it more time efficient for staff and residents, we’ve created the Family Administrator which makes it easy for residents to have new family members added or changes made to their accounts.


A Family Administrator is a special type of Linked Account that can add or remove other linked accounts for the specific resident that they are associated with. They can also control what other linked accounts can do, such as enabling or disabling video calls or controlling the TV. This feature is especially useful for the resident's Power of Attorney or a similar family member, who can invite other family members without relying on the community staff. 


Staff can also create, edit, and manage Favorites for residents using the Care Admin portal. Previously, only admin users, or family members, could do this. This means staff members can now help residents easily access their favorite channels and content with just a few clicks!


Improving User Experience & Fixing Bugs


In addition to the new features mentioned above, we have also made some small user experience improvements and bug fixes. The Care Admin portal has an enhanced user interface, making it easier for admin and staff to find what they are looking for and complete tasks more quickly when uploading calendar and dining menu PDFs, as well as when video calling.


For those community members that reported visibility issues, we’re happy to report that everything has been corrected! Staff will now be able to easily see an Assist Tile name when resolving a request, and residents will have clear tiles on the Caavo homepage as well as crisp visuals of web pages on their TVs.

While there are no major feature updates for residents in this release, rest assured that we have plenty of awesome stuff planned for the future. We are always looking for ways to improve the Caavo experience for older adults.
